VeryChain developer guide

EVM development, network connections, contract deployment and operations, and use of public status data.

Connecting to the network

VeryChain is an EVM-compatible mainnet. Its network name is VERY Mainnet, Chain ID 4613 (HEX 0x1205), RPC URL https://rpc.verylabs.io, and native coin VERY.

Complete wallet settings are listed in VeryChain public network information. View blocks and transactions on VERY scan.

Checking the RPC connection

In your development environment, the following read-only request checks the Chain ID returned by the RPC. It runs without a connected wallet or private key and does not send a transaction.

curl --request POST 'https://rpc.verylabs.io' \
  --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"eth_chainId","params":[],"id":1}'

The expected result value is 0x1205. Below is an example response based on the supplied mainnet configuration.

{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"result":"0x1205"}

eth_chainId returns the chain ID as a hexadecimal string. The call follows the Ethereum JSON-RPC specification. If the response differs, first check the RPC address and network settings. After a connection error or timeout, confirm a valid response before proceeding.

Contract development and compatibility

Use EVM-compatible tools, but verify the EVM version, compiler and bytecode supported by the actual client. Compiler restrictions in older documents should not be treated as confirmed requirements of the current version.

Build contracts with settings compatible with the target network, and validate permissions, transfers and failure handling before deployment. Record tool versions, build settings and deployment results together.

Gas and fees

Gas measures work; gas price is the cost per unit of work. Network fees are generally calculated as gas used × gas price. Actual costs depend on the execution path and state.

VeryChat’s free profile USDT transfers are an app service policy. The same terms do not apply to every smart-contract call or external-wallet transaction.

Deployment and operations checks

Verify the deployed network, contract address and transaction receipt. Check permissions and both successful and failed behavior, and maintain publishable contract source and version records. Describe security audits only on the basis of confirmed firms, versions, scopes and reports.

The homepage introduces VeryCloud as a cloud for web-service deployment. Its role differs from VeryChain consensus and rewards; service addresses and actual availability are covered in separate guidance.

For node downloads, installation and synchronization, see VeryChain and nodes — running and operating a node.

The role of public status data

Node status and advertising status are separate datasets. Remaining amounts, base rewards and proof rewards in the node API describe node conditions; usage, distribution and burn amounts in the advertising API describe campaign results. Preserve reference times and sources, and show the last valid data’s time if a request fails.

Node status uses public queries. Authenticated advertising-status requests are handled on the server, and only aggregate fields intended for publication reach the webpage. Authentication tokens must not appear in the browser or downloadable documents.
